Pivot

The PIVOT combines the power and stability of larger offshore ROVs with the portability of a more compact system. At H2O Drones, we position the PIVOT as the logical intermediate step between the DTG3 and the Revolution. The design is based on offshore principles, but adapted for inland waters and coastal areas.

The perfect intermediate step

The PIVOT bridges the gap between compact and heavy ROVs. You benefit from many of the Revolution’s features and accessories, but in a lighter and easier-to-handle system. Thanks to its relatively low weight, the drone can be carried and operated by one person.

Six magnetic thrusters

The PIVOT is equipped with six magnetically coupled thrusters, ensuring stable and controlled movement in all directions, including sideways. The absence of shaft seals makes the motors low-maintenance and suitable for long-term use.

Rotating head and camera

The independently rotatable head houses the camera and lighting and can rotate up to approximately 190 degrees. This allows the operator to inspect without moving the ROV itself, contributing to stable images and accurate inspections.

Interchangeable Batteries

The internal lithium-ion batteries provide up to approximately 3 hours of operation. The batteries are easily swapped on-site, allowing for continued work without long interruptions.

Sensors and Expansions

The PIVOT features a comprehensive sensor system via the BRIDGE-software, including depth, heading, pitch, roll, and water temperature. Expansion is possible with sonar, a gripper arm, and positioning systems such as GPS, DVL, or USBL. The tether is available in various lengths, up to hundreds of meters.
