The REVOLUTION

The REVOLUTION is a completely newly designed underwater drone for professional inspections and work in demanding conditions. This “mission-ready” ROV is suitable for tasks where stability, payload capacity, and control are essential, such as inspections in flowing water, forensic investigations, and industrial applications.

Rotatable Head & 4K Camera

The core of the REVOLUTION is the 260° rotatable head. Unlike traditional ROVs, the drone itself does not need to tilt to look up or down; the camera, lighting, and sonar move independently. This keeps the ROV stably positioned while you maintain an overview. The 4K camera streams live footage to the surface console, supported by rotating LED lighting for consistent illumination.

Six magnetic thrusters

The REVOLUTION is powered by six thrusters that provide controlled movement in all directions. Two vertical thrusters provide precise depth control, while four horizontal thrusters in a vector configuration enable lateral and rotational movements. The magnetic coupling of the thrusters reduces wear and maintenance.

Multibeam sonar in limited visibility

In poor visibility, the REVOLUTION can be equipped with a multibeam imaging sonar. This is mounted above the camera head and rotates within the field of view. This allows objects to be detected even in murky or dark water. Sonar and video images are recorded simultaneously for reporting.

Replaceable lithium batteries

The REVOLUTION operates on internal lithium batteries with an operating time of up to approximately 4 hours, depending on load. Because no external power supply is required, deployment in remote locations remains possible. The batteries can be replaced on-site and fully charged in approximately 2.5 hours. The standard tether has a length of 300 meters and can withstand high pulling forces.

Gripper Arm

For physical work, the REVOLUTION can be equipped with a gripper arm positioned beneath the camera for clear visibility during use. The arm features an open/close function and continuous rotation. Interchangeable jaws allow for various applications, such as sampling or object recovery.

Sensors and Controls

Through the BRIDGE-software, the operator has access to real-time data such as depth, compass, pitch, roll, camera angle, and water temperature. Control is via a portable, ergonomic controller, enabling rapid deployment from a dock, boat, or shore.
